Two liquids of specific gravities 1.25 and 0.75 and volumes of 0.01 and 0.006 meter cube are mixed if the bulk of the liquid shrink by 1% on mixing calculate the density and specific gravity of the mixture.

What is specific gravity?

Aravind said:   9 years ago
Specific weight has units as KG.
Specific mass has units as M*3.
But specific gravity has no units so 3 is the correct answer.

Shortcut: since 0.75 doesn't have any unit the only unit less parameter in the options is specific gravity :)
