As per IRC, NO grade compendsation is provided for gradient lesser than 4%. So answer is E.

As per NRC-2070 grade compensation only required when the gradient of the road is greater than 4% and i.e (30+R)/30, where R is a curve radius in m. And maximum permissible grade compensation is 75/R.

According to IRC, a grade compensation of, (30+R/R) , maximum 75/R has to be provided for the grades more than 4%.
