Grade compensation = min (30+r/r or 75/r).
Here 75/r = 0.25.
Gradient = ruling gradient - grade compensation.
= 3.00 - 0.25.
= 2.75.
Here 75/r = 0.25.
Gradient = ruling gradient - grade compensation.
= 3.00 - 0.25.
= 2.75.

According to IRC grade compensation is not necessary for gradients flatter than 4%. If it is necessary we can calculate it. By using compensation formula.

@All.
There is a rule that if the calculated gradient comes less than 4%, then we can't provide it. Hence the minimum compensated gradient value is 4%.

This answer is absolutely wrong. Because as per IRC recommendation grade compensation is not required for gradient flatter than 4%.

What is maximum & minimum gradient according to IRC?
1:60, 1:75gradient is wrong or right according to IRC?

The maximum grade compensation =75/R.
Given R=300m.
Now grade compensation is = 75/300.
which is =2.5.
So, option D is correct.

I have not learn this formula in my college. IRC grade compensation is provided only if ruling gradient is more than 3.5%.

Option E is correct because given gradient is 3% while grade compensation is provided if gradient is greater than 4%.

According to IRC, a grade compensation of, (30+R/R) , maximum 75/R has to be provided for the grades more than 4%.

As per IRC grade compensation is not necessary for gradient flatter than 4%.
Hence option E is the right answer.
