As per IRC, in hilly roads r>50m, so no need to provide extra widening.

If r<50 then extra widening provided on only one side.
And if 'r' is 8n between 50 to 300m then extra widening provided on both sides.

Recommended by Indian Roads Congress.
For hill roads, the radius 150 metres no need to provide extra widening for any type of Road.

In question, they have not mentioned whether it is a single lane or double lane road. so the question is contradictory.
