We know, for superelevation:
e+f= v^2/gR. The term on the RHS of the equal sign is called the centrifugal ratio.
We know maximum values of:
e= 0.07 and f= 0.15.
So, (e+f )max= 0.22.

For Highways centrifugal ratio (v^2/gr) = 1/4 = 0.25.
Maximum superelevation should be 1/4 for comfortable ride.
For Railways Centrifugal ratio should be 1/8 = 0.125.

Centrifugal force P = MV^2/R,
We know W = Mg, P/W = V^2/R.
Where, P/W is called centrifugal ratio or impact factor.
