Center to centre spacing of the vehicle.
S = L/2 +C+ L/2.
Maximum number N of vehicle/hour indicates traffic volume or capacity is given by;
N = 1000V/S,
So that N = 1000V/L+C.
S = L/2 +C+ L/2.

Density = 1000/[Average space headway (in meters)].
Traffic capacity or volume = (Velocity * Traffic density).
= (1000*Velocity)/(Average space headway)

Traffic density = 1000V/L+C -> Answer.
