Area of circular footing = π/4 d2.
= 0.785 d2.
Area of square = d2(because d=l).
Bearing capacity = load/area.
Circular = load/0.785d2.
Square. = load/d2.
Ratio = load/0.785d2*d2/load.
= 1/0.785,
= 1.27.
= 1.30.
= 0.785 d2.
