Ns = N*√Q/H^(.75).

Specific Speed, Ns = N√Q/H^3/4.
=1450*√44/36^3/4.
=1450*√44/36^3/4.

1450 * 44^(1/2)/36^(.75).

Formula is,
Ns = n x sqrt of Q / H^(0.75).
Where:
Ns = specific speed.
n = pump rotational speed (rpm).
Q = flow (cumecs).
H = head (metres).
Substitute the given value and you get: 654.438 = ~ 654.
Ns = n x sqrt of Q / H^(0.75).
Where:
Ns = specific speed.
n = pump rotational speed (rpm).
Q = flow (cumecs).
H = head (metres).
Substitute the given value and you get: 654.438 = ~ 654.
