Open drive samples consist of thin-walled tubes which are pushed or driven into the soil at the bottom of the hole and then rotated to detach the lower end of the sample from the soil.
That's why is used for undisturbed soil.

B is correct. It should be an Open drive sampler for disturbed sample of soil.
Standard Split-Spoon or Split-Barrel Sampler: It is the most commonly used sampler for obtaining undisturbed soil samples.
