Decrease in early strength ------------- False. Increase the Early setting and sharing of cement.
Reduction in chemical action with sulphates --------> False. Increase resistance to chemical attacks.
Increase in shrinkage ----------->False they reduce shrinkage of the mortar to the cement.

Pozzolonic materials are finner than cement particles thus, due to presence of these finner material (which have higher surface area) when cement comes in contact with it releases heat of hydration so water evaporates and promotes shrinkage.

The addition of pozzolana to ordinary Portland cement increases shrinkage but reduces the permeability of the concrete. It increases the elastic modulus of concrete. Less heat of hydration. Offers greater resistance to aggressive weather.

Pozzolana react with free lime (which help to reduce shrinkage) in cement. So No free lime = increase shrinkage.

Increase in cement causes an increase in hydration and results in autogenous shrinkage.
