The surface lacks this microscopic rough surface, that's why it is very suitable for concrete mix.

Glassy and smooth are different. A smooth aggregate for convenience can be a rounded aggregate also. It will have microscopic pores even though it may appear smooth to us. The bonding between the cement and aggregate would happen at this level rather than on the macro scale. Now, in the case of glassy, the surface lacks this microscopic rough surface. Hence Glassy is the correct answer.
