Maximum W/C Ratio = 0.7.

Minimum W/C Ratio = 0.2.

The result for maximum w/c ratio is 35 kg/bag.

If weight of water is 35 Kg the W/C ratio is 0.7, How?

Water requires= (45% of cement+25% of filling gel pores).

Water requires= (45%*50 + 25%*50) =35 kg/litre.

Exactly for normal concrete 22.5 liters are required.

I am confused water measured in liter how much water required 1 bag cement?

I am confused please explain me the procedure to calculate amount of required water.

Ashish Devikar said:   1 decade ago
Because of volume of cement is 0.035m3. And density of water & cement are different.

Normally 38% of water is required combinding bond water and gel water to hydrate cement. So 50*38/100 = 19 lit water minimum. But for concrete mix the w/c ratio is 45% hence for OPC it should be 27 lit/bag and for ppc it should be 25 lit/bag required.

American assume w/c=45% So in this case water should be 22kg or liter.

I am confused with, how can you say for different grades of concrete?
