|Answer is C.
Quick Setting Cement as the name indicates, these types of cements are used where quick setting is needed. The quick setting cement is manufactured by adding a small percentage of aluminum sulphate and then it is finely grinded with cement.
And also for quick setting action a small percentage of gypsum or retarder is added. The aluminum sulphate is mainly added to accelerate the setting time fast.

For normal cement gypsum add 2% which causes increasing setting time.
Bishal said: (Oct 21, 2016)
The answer will be option A. Because gypsum is such a chemical compound which is liable for the setting of cement.
Ranjan said: (Jan 29, 2017)
I think the option will be both A and C.

Gypsum is an retarder not accelerater.
Ravinder Poonia said: (Sep 6, 2017)
The Correct answer is A Because gypsum is such a chemical compound which is liable for the setting of cement.
Lal Bahadur Bairwa said: (Nov 18, 2017)
Answer is A and C because gypsum is retarded setting time and aluminum sulphate is produced quick setting but best answer is C.
Manish Goley said: (Jan 2, 2018)
I think it is both A and C.
Mahboob Ali said: (Apr 19, 2018)
|Option C is CORRECT.
Because quick setting cement mainly produced by adding a small amount of ALSO4 and fine grinding other than RHS OR OPC. And reduced CASO4 (GYPSUM).

C is the appropriate answer. I agree with the given answer.
Saddam Hussain said: (Dec 21, 2018)
|C -, cz gypsum is retardar, which mean increase setting time,
But here asked about the quick setting, i.e accelerator, mean decrease setting time which is aluminium sapphire (Al2So4).

Option C is correct.

Plasticizers - 1%
Calcium chloride - 2%
Gypsum - 0.5%
Shashwat Singh said: (Nov 23, 2019)
I think answer A & C both are correct because gypsum is mainly increase setting time but here it said less amount of gypsum and aluminium sulphate is accelerate setting so both answer A & C is correct.
Som Nath said: (Jan 17, 2020)
I think A is the right answer. Or one can add calcium chloride as an accelerator.
Alee said: (Feb 27, 2020)
Gypsum is retarder. It delays the setting time.
Himanshu Gupta said: (Apr 8, 2020)
It is for rapid hardening cement. But for quick setting cement, it is option C.
Arsh Afroz said: (Sep 13, 2020)
Yes, A is the appropriate answer.
