Pick up the polymineralic rock from the following:
Quartz sand
Pure gypsum
Magnesite
Granite
None of these.
Answer: Option
Explanation:
Granite is a polymineralic rock, which means it is composed of a mixture of minerals. Granite is typically made up of quartz, feldspar, and mica, as well as smaller amounts of other minerals. The different minerals in granite give it a variety of colors and patterns, ranging from white to pink to black.

An example of a monomineralic rock is quartzite, which is composed of only quartz. An example of a polymineralic rock is granite, which is typically composed of quartz, feldspar, and mica.

Then what about Pure gypsum and Magnesite?

Shalu said:   1 decade ago
Magnesite is a mineral not a rock and pure gypsum is also a mineral (composed of sulphate i.e. CaS04.2H20).

Quartzite is monomineralic consisting quartz, whereas granites have quartz, feldspar & mica.

Polymineralic means having more than one mineral.

These rocks mainly consist of feldspar, quartz, mica, and amphibole minerals.
