@All.

The use of adjacent* in the question, adjacent veneer implies the veneer just above it or below, if the fibres run at 90* then adjacent veneers can have a strong bond when glued unlike where fibres of adj. Veneers run parallel to each other. Each veneer is like a single plate of wood which has fibres/grooves in a certain direction.

Plywood is made of three or more thin layers of wood bonded together with an adhesive. Each layer of wood, or ply, is usually oriented with its grain running at right angles to the adjacent layer in order to reduce the shrinkage and improve the strength of the finished piece. Most plywood is pressed into large, flat sheets used in building construction. Other plywood pieces may be formed into simple or compound curves for use in furniture, boats, and aircraft.

So answer is correct.

Yes, I agree with answer because veneers in odd numbers are placed one above the other with the direction of grains of successive layers at right angles to each other.

B is the correct answer.

Grains of adjacent veneers should be parallel to each other. Grains of veneers placed one below the other should be perpendicular.

Adjacent veneers should be parallel. But I am in confusion about grains of adjacent veneers. Please, anyone make it clear.

At right angle.

I think it is parallel.
