It's 1.25 to 1.5 du.

The minimum distance is 1.25du.

For piles less than 30cm Dia it is 1.5 du and if pile Dia >=30 cm,it is 1.25 du.

The Indian Standard Code of Practice for Design and Construction of Pile Foundations (IS 2911 Part III) specifies the following for the vertical spacing between the centres of under-reamed bulbs: 

For piles with a stem diameter of up to 30 cm, the spacing should be no more than (1.5Du) (1.5 times the bulb diameter).
For piles with a stem diameter greater than 30 cm, the spacing can be reduced to (1.25Du) (1.25 times the bulb diameter).
