Shed roof- slopes in only one direction.

Gable roof- in two direction.
Gambrel Roof- in two direction. But another slope in each direction.

Hip roofs on houses could have two triangular sides and two trapezoidal ones.

And Mansard roof which has four sloping sides, each of which becomes steeper halfway down.

Great stuff. What's a shed roof with a fall line not perpendicular to the high and low edges?
