Shed roof- slopes in only one direction.
Gable roof- in two direction.
Gambrel Roof- in two direction. But another slope in each direction.
Hipped roof- in four direction.
MansArd roof- in four direction. But another slope in all four direction. !

Hip roofs on houses could have two triangular sides and two trapezoidal ones.
And Mansard roof which has four sloping sides, each of which becomes steeper halfway down.
