When the brick cut along the length & across width is called 'Bat' and along the width & across length is called 'Closer'.

Along and across are the same. Across only means "along the shorter dimension" I think. English usage.

Across the width = Along the Length = Closer.

Across mean perpendicular or normal to the given front side.

So, my answer is closer.

The answer must be Clouser because statement shows cutting brick across the width(means cutting width in two parts or at cutting at a right angle).

Brick cutting across Width/2 = Clouser.
Brick cutting across length/2 = Bat.
