On the amount of 1760/- he got T.D of 160/- with rate of interest of 12% So we can directly use the formula T.D=(AMOUNT*R*T)/(100+[R*T]) |

But formula should be TD= (A*R*T)/(100+R)^t isn't it?? |

Hi am Durga, I want to knowing about the solution & I don't know how can get the 5/6 for 160*100/1600*12. |

Amount = S.I + P. Here P = 1760-160 = 1600. 160 = 1600*12*t/100. Which gives t = 5/6 years. Now, 5/6*12 = 10 months. |

5/6 is the fractional months so we have to convert it into a calendar month. So, we can say that if 1 year is equal to 12 months then how much year or month is equal to 5/6 (In cross multiplication). |
