20*16 : 16*15
cancel 16 on both sides then
20 : 15
cancel with 5
then ans is 4:3

Women = 20 * 16 = 240,
Men = 16 * 15 = 320,
Men/women=320/240 = 4/3.
Ratio = 4:3.
Men = 16 * 15 = 320,
Men/women=320/240 = 4/3.
Ratio = 4:3.

Why we multiply 20*16 and 16*15. Means what is the logic behind it?

20 : 16 = 16 : 15.
5 : 4 = 4 : 3.
16/15 = 4/3.
Therefore 4:3
5 : 4 = 4 : 3.
16/15 = 4/3.
Therefore 4:3

Why is it not 3:4 as m:w is 16*15/16*20? Please explain this.

m1*d1*h1 = m2*d2*h2
So, 16*15*h1 = 16*20*h2.
h1:h2 = 4:3.
So, 16*15*h1 = 16*20*h2.
h1:h2 = 4:3.
