A can do a certain work in the same time in which B and C together can do it. If A and B together could do it in 10 days and C alone in 50 days, then B alone could do it in:
Answer: Option
Explanation:
(A + B)'s 1 day's work = | 1 |
10 |
C's 1 day's work = | 1 |
50 |
(A + B + C)'s 1 day's work = | ![]() |
1 | + | 1 | ![]() |
= | 6 | = | 3 | . .... (i) |
10 | 50 | 50 | 25 |
A's 1 day's work = (B + C)'s 1 day's work .... (ii)
From (i) and (ii), we get: 2 x (A's 1 day's work) = | 3 |
25 |
![]() |
3 | . |
50 |
![]() |
![]() |
1 | - | 3 | ![]() |
= | 2 | = | 1 | . |
10 | 50 | 50 | 25 |
So, B alone could do the work in 25 days.

A+B = 1/10.
C = 1/50.
A's time is equal to (B+C)'s time,
1/10-B = B+1/50.
2B = 1/10-1/50.
2B = 4/50.
B = 1/25.
B alone can do the work in 25 days.
C = 1/50.
A's time is equal to (B+C)'s time,
1/10-B = B+1/50.
2B = 1/10-1/50.
2B = 4/50.
B = 1/25.
B alone can do the work in 25 days.

In general we get A+B+C=1/50,
But here we have A=B+C.
So, A+A=2A i.e 1/50*2 = 1/25
i.e B's 1 day work.
Finally B alone could do the work in 25 days.
But here we have A=B+C.
So, A+A=2A i.e 1/50*2 = 1/25
i.e B's 1 day work.
Finally B alone could do the work in 25 days.

We have....
A+B=1/10......(2)
A=B+C,
C=1/50,
We can set,
A-B=C
A-B=1/50......(1)
solving 1 and 2...
A=3/50,
so B=1/25,
B can do it in 25 day's.
A+B=1/10......(2)
A=B+C,
C=1/50,
We can set,
A-B=C
A-B=1/50......(1)
solving 1 and 2...
A=3/50,
so B=1/25,
B can do it in 25 day's.

A = B + C.
A = B + 1/50.....(1)
A + B = 1/10.......(2)
PUT EQ (1) IN EQ (2). Then, Eq (2) becomes.
B + 1/50 + B = 1/10.
2B = 1/10 - 1/50.
B = 25.
A = B + 1/50.....(1)
A + B = 1/10.......(2)
PUT EQ (1) IN EQ (2). Then, Eq (2) becomes.
B + 1/50 + B = 1/10.
2B = 1/10 - 1/50.
B = 25.

A = B+C.
A+B = 1/10.
Therefore
A = 1/10 - B.
1/10 - B = B + 1/50.
-B - B= 1/50 - 1/10,
= -2B = -4/50,
2B = 4/50,
100B = 4,
B = 4/100,
B = 1/25.
A+B = 1/10.
Therefore
A = 1/10 - B.
1/10 - B = B + 1/50.
-B - B= 1/50 - 1/10,
= -2B = -4/50,
2B = 4/50,
100B = 4,
B = 4/100,
B = 1/25.

A + B + C = 3/25.
A = B + C.
A = A + A.
A = 3/50.
A + B = 10.
=> 3/50 - 1/10 = 1/25.
Finally B = 25days.
A = B + C.
A = A + A.
A = 3/50.
A + B = 10.
=> 3/50 - 1/10 = 1/25.
Finally B = 25days.

a+b, +c can finished 50 work.
a+b finished in 5 days,
c finished in 1 day,
can say one day work (a+b+c) in 6 days,
a= b+c put,
a+(a) =6,
a=3.
a+b finished in 5 days,
c finished in 1 day,
can say one day work (a+b+c) in 6 days,
a= b+c put,
a+(a) =6,
a=3.

C = 50.
A = B+C=> A = B+1/50.
A+B = 1/10 => B+1/50+B = 1/10.
2B + 1/50 = 1/10.
2B = 4/50.
B = 1/25.
25 DAYS.
A+B = 10,
C = 50.
A = B+C=> A = B+1/50.
A+B = 1/10 => B+1/50+B = 1/10.
2B + 1/50 = 1/10.
2B = 4/50.
B = 1/25.
25 DAYS.

1/A + 1/B = 1/10 --->(1)
1/B + 1/C = 1/A --->(2)
C = 1/50 --->(3)
Just solve this three equation and you will get answer as B = 1/25.
1/B + 1/C = 1/A --->(2)
C = 1/50 --->(3)
Just solve this three equation and you will get answer as B = 1/25.
