@Antara.

It's very easy. Remove brackets and multiply you got 2ab.

Let us assume a=5, b=2.

a^+b^=25+4=29.

a-b =5-2=3.

So ab=5*2=10.

a-b = 3.
5-2 = 3.

a^2+b^2 = 29.
5^2+2^2 = 29.

Answer = 5*2 = 29.

If a=? and b=4. Find the value of 3a+b.

Can anyone solve this?

Anita said:   1 decade ago
a = 2, b = 5.

a-b = 3.

2*2 + 5*5.

4+25 = 29.

Then ab = 10.

(a-b)^2+2ab=29
or,(3)^2+2ab=29
or,9+2ab=29
or,2ab=20
or,ab=10
