2 : 5
3 : 7

Please explain me Why you have taken 2b/3?

MEHAK said:   9 years ago
A/B = 2/5 X 3/2.
A/B = 6/10.
A/B = 3/5.

Am I right?

Given 40% i.e 40/100 = 2/5;

New ratio 2/5 : 2/3 = 6/10 = 3/5.

40%=40/100*2/3(nothing but two-third),
divide by 20 you will get 2/5*2*3,

Cross multiplication.
10:6(both come in 2 table).
5:3.

40A/100=2B/3.

Cross multily we get,
120A=200B,
A/B=200/1200.
A/B=5:3.

x,y two number.

40/100*x=2/3y.

2/5*x=2/3*y,
1/5*x=1/3*y,
x=5 y=3.

2A/5*2B/3.

NOW A/B=2/5*3/2,
A:B 3:5.

Then why 3:5 is not correct? please Explain.
