Let's us take both the difference (4/15-2/5=2/10).
The difference is 2/10 their total amount of them is 1210.
Take difference and multiply with the original amount.
= 2/10*1210=484.
This is my point of view if there is any mistake please don't mind.

Let A's amount be x and B's amount be y.
Given:
(4/15)x = (2/5)y.
Solving this, we get x = (3/2)y,
Also given: A + B = 1210.
Substituting.
x = (3/2)y in A + B = 1210, we get (3/2)y + y = 1210.
Simplifying, we get (5/2)y = 1210,
y = (1210 * 2)/5 = 484.

Can anyone please explain, how u can find out the ration of A & B because in question they only tell that if of A's amount is equal to of B's amount. and also explain meaning of this line and how u can find that (4/15)A=(2/15)B .

Spirit part in a mixture is 1/4.
Water part in a mixture s 3/4.
The spirit volume is added in percentage is 25% which comes 1 for 4.
Total parts are 5, spirit part is 2 and water part is 3. The resultant ratio is 2:3.

A + B = 1210.
B = 1210 - A.
(4/15)A = (2/5)B = (6/15)B.
B = (4/15) * (15/6)A.
= (2/3)A.
A + (2/3)A = 1210.
(3A/3) + (2A/3) = 1210.
5A/3 = 1210.
A =1210 * (3/5).
= 726.
B = 1210 - 726.
=484.
B = 1210 - A.
(4/15)A = (2/5)B = (6/15)B.
B = (4/15) * (15/6)A.
= (2/3)A.
A + (2/3)A = 1210.
(3A/3) + (2A/3) = 1210.
5A/3 = 1210.
A =1210 * (3/5).
= 726.
B = 1210 - 726.
=484.

As a total proportion of B is 2/5 of the total so the proportion of b is = 2.
and total proportion is 5; so A's proportion 5-2 = 3.
And B= 2/5 * total = 2/5*1210 = 484.
And A = 1210- 484 = 726.
Thanks.
and total proportion is 5; so A's proportion 5-2 = 3.
And B= 2/5 * total = 2/5*1210 = 484.
And A = 1210- 484 = 726.
Thanks.

We can do this question in this way also.
A = 4/15, B = 2/5.
Both are equal to each other we can say that,
A = B -> (2/5 : 4/15) * 15.
A : B -> 6 : 4.
B -> 4/10 * 1210.
B -> 484 Ans.
A = 4/15, B = 2/5.
Both are equal to each other we can say that,
A = B -> (2/5 : 4/15) * 15.
A : B -> 6 : 4.
B -> 4/10 * 1210.
B -> 484 Ans.

The ratio of spirit and water in a mixture is 1:3. If the volume of the solution is increased by 25% by adding spirit only. What is the resultant ratio of spirit and water?
Please answer it.

(a+b) = 1210 given.
a4/15 = b2/5 given.
Then, a/b = (2/15)*(15/4).
=> a:b = 3:2.
Now, 3x+2x = 1210.
Then, x = 242.
So, b will be 2*242 = 484(ans).
&, a will be 3*242 = 726.

4/15 is on the left side.
So when we take it to the right side of the equal sign then we reciprocate it i.e., 4/15 becomes 15/4.
The same rule applies from right to left.
