5/18 means 5 meters/18 seconds so 5/18 is the conversion of 1km/h.
Thank you.
Thank you.

60 * 1000m/3600s = 16.66m/s.
So, distance = 16.66 * 9 = 150m.
So, distance = 16.66 * 9 = 150m.

What is a pole?
In this problem, a “pole” is just a single post or point beside the railway track.
Distance covered by the train while crossing the pole = length of the train.
Formula:
Speed = Distance/Time.
And Distance = Speed × Time.
Convert km/hr into meters per second (m/s):
NOTE: 1 km/hr = 1×(5/18) m/s
60 km/hr = 60×(5/18) = 300/18 m/s
Multiply by time to get distance (length of the train): Distance = (300/18)×9 = 150 meters,
Answer: The length of the train = 150 meters.

Length= Speed * Time.
Length = 60*(5/18)*9,
Length = 150m.
Length = 60*(5/18)*9,
Length = 150m.

from the above statement:
60,000 m is crossed in=>3600 s.
? m is crossed in=> 9 s.
60000/x => 3600/9.
Do a normal cross-division method to find x. That's the answer.
