11.
The product of two numbers is 9375 and the quotient, when the larger one is divided by the smaller, is 15. The sum of the numbers is:
380
395
400
425
Answer: Option
Explanation:

Let the numbers be x and y.

Then, xy = 9375 and x = 15.
y

xy = 9375
(x/y) 15

y2 = 625.

y = 25.

x = 15y = (15 x 25) = 375.

Sum of the numbers = x + y = 375 + 25 = 400.

Here it is given that 15 is the quotient. So how it is coming x/y=15?

9375 / 15 = 625.

625 - 15 * 15 = 400.

Let the numbers be x and y.

Given that,

x*y = 9375 &...... Equation 1.
x/y =15.....Equation 2.
x = 15y.... Equation 1.

Putting the value of x in equation 1.

=> 15*y*y = 9375.
=> 15y^2 = 9375.
=> y^2 = 9375/15.
=> y^2 = 625.
=> y = 25.

Putting the value of y in equation 2.

Now we get,

x/25 = 15.
x = 15*25.
x = 375.

Sum of x+y is = 375 + 25 = 400.

Answer is 400.

Larger number is divided by small one that's why 9375/15 = 625 (25).

Why did you guys did xy/X/Y?

Given that,

xy = 9375, x/y = 15.

x = 15y.

15y*y = 9375.

y^2 = 9375/15.

y = 25 so x = 15y = 15*25 = 375.

x+y = 400.
