Firstly, do subtraction from the first two numbers (108 - 36 = 72) .
Next, do subtraction of next two numbers(36-90=54)"- sign have no value".
next, subtract first and last numbers(108-90).
Then, subtrac the first Answers(72 - 52 = 18).
So, the answer is 18.

Hi everyone.
I believe the answer should be .9 as 18 is greatest common divisor undoubtedly, but when it come to an option between .9 & .18, .9 is bigger than .18, we have to find the greater right?
Had it been .9 and 1.8, 1.8 would have been the correct answer.

0.18 is correct answer.
In these path hcf = hcf (numerator)/lcm(denominator).
So we can write 1.08, 0.36, and 0.90 as 108/100 and 36/100 and 90/100 hsf (108, 36, 90) = 18 AND lcm (100, 100, 100) = 100.
As for formula 18/100 = 0.18.
So the answer is 0.18.

So the answer is 0.18.

Multiplay theses all numbers.
(1.80, 0.36,0.9)by 100. It Will reduce your risk!
So we got 108 , 36 , 90.
Then find the GCD (HCF).
HCF of these three = 18.
Divide 18 by 100 (at first we multiplied by 100).
18÷100= 0.18.
Hope you understood.

GCD (Greatest Common Divisor) is just another term for HCF.
Just turn the given numbers 1.08, 0.36, 0.9 into 108/100, 36/100, 90/100
And find the HCF of 108, 36, 90 which is equal to 18.
And divide this answer 18 by 100,
We get 0.18.

And find the HCF of 108, 36, 90 which is equal to 18.
And divide this answer 18 by 100,
We get 0.18.

0.9 value is greater than 0.18 and it is a common divisor for 1.08, 0.36 and 0.9.
So, the answer should be 0.9 right?
No, if you divide 0.36/0.9 = 0.4.
ie, not a whole number which means it not divisible by 0.9.
0.9 value is greater than 0.18 and it is a common divisor for 1.08, 0.36 and 0.9.
So, the answer should be 0.9 right?
No, if you divide 0.36/0.9 = 0.4.
ie, not a whole number which means it not divisible by 0.9.

Easy ans:
Remove decimal points then it become like this way.
108,36,90,then.
108 90 108
36 36 90
--- ---- ----
72 54 18
--- ---- ----
So H.C.F is 18....means 0.18.
I think it fix your problem.

For those who solved by: 108/100,36/100,9/10 then used the formula (hcf of numerator/lcm of the denominator) and got the answer as 0.09 BUT CAUTION...this formula can only be used when you reduced the terms to lowest form.

The factors of 9 are: 1, 3, 9.
The factors of 36 are: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 9, 12, 18, 36.
The factors of 108 are: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 9, 12, 18, 27, 36, 54, 108.
Then the greatest common factor is 9. So, the answer should be 0.9.

@Shiv,
Because 0.9 = 0.90 (9/10 = 90/100) if you divided to 90/100 by 10 then you'll get 9/10. 1/2 = 0.5 = 0.50 (these all numbers are called "Half").
So we can use 90/100 in place of 9/10.
