Let's do this the easy way.

1.08 = 108/100 = 27/25,
0.36 = 9/25,
0.9 = 9/10.

Gcd of Fraction = Gcd of Num/LCM of Denominator.
gcd of 27,9,9 = 9,
lcm of 25,25,10 = 50.
9/50 = 0.18.

Thanks @Sreeraj for:

3|108, 36, 90
|_____________
3| 36, 12, 30
|_____________
2| 12, 4, 10
|_____________
6, 2, 5

So the H.C.F is 3*3*2 = 18
[need to brush up school's maths book] :P ;)

For those who solved by: 108/100,36/100,9/10 then used the formula (hcf of numerator/lcm of the denominator) and got the answer as 0.09 BUT CAUTION...this formula can only be used when you reduced the terms to lowest form.

Given number 1.08,0.36& 0.9.

To remove the decimal multiply with 100
Then the no are 108, 36, 90
Hcf of these no
108=2*2*3*3*3
36=3*3*2*2
90=3*3*2*5.

Here the 2 is repeated in all no so 2 and 3*3 is also repeated. So the HCF is 3*3*2=18
Here the question is in decimal form so the answer must be also in decimal.
To remove the decimal we multiple with 100 so for the perfect answer divide with 100.
So, the answer is 18÷100=0.18.

@ALL.

You have to put the same amount of digits after the decimal point to make the equation equal.

The answer is 9 we can divide all these no by 9?

108=9*12
36=4*9
9=1*9
Ans=9 why 18 anyone can explain?
