Answer: Option
Explanation:

Mother's age when Ayesha's brother was born = 36 years.

See the @Virender rajput answer it is clear. In question they didn't give any pull stop(.) and comma(,) if you see care fully they gave the mother age is when her brother born means it is 36 but her father age at Ayesha's born so we have to add 4 years to father age.

I hope you guys got it.

Ayesha father mother 0 38 not mentioned.

After 4 years brother born to Ayesha.

0+4, 38+4, 36 years (given).

Now difference between fathers and mothers age.

= 42-36.

= 6 years.

Ayesha age is 4 years at the time of her bro born.

After 4 years of her birth her father age is: 38+4 = 42.

Ayesha mother age is 36 when her bro born.

Then: 42-36 = 6.

Ayesha's father age = 38 (when she was born).

Ayesha's mother's age = 36 (when her brother born).

Her brother was 4 years younger than her. So, at that time her age 4 years.

Then her father age is also 4 years increase i.e 42.

42-36 = 6 years.

Let Ayesha's age be denoted by A, her father's age by AF, her mother's age by AM and her brother's age by AB respectively.

Then acc to all the givens in the question,

AF - A = 38 --- (1).
A - AB = 4 --- (2).
AM - AB = 36 --- (3).

Now,

AM - AB = 36 [from Equation (3)].

AM - (A-4) = 36 [from Equation (2)].

AM - (AF - 38 - 4) = 36 [from Equation(1)].

AM - AF + 38 + 4 = 36.

AF - AM = (38 + 34) - 36.

AF - AM = 42 - 36.

=> 6 (ANS).

Let, Ayesha Age was X year when she born.

That time father age was 38 yrs.

Now father age X+38 and as well as Mother's age X+36.

Brother is younger than Ayesha was 4 yrs

So, X-4 .

Now Difference = (X+38) - (X+36) = X-4

X+38-X-36 = X-4

2 = X-4

So,

X = 6 yrs.
