Answer: Option
Explanation:

Let C's age be x years. Then, B's age = 2x years. A's age = (2x + 2) years.

(2x + 2) + 2x + x = 27

5x = 25

x = 5.

Hence, B's age = 2x = 10 years.

Let B=x.

Then according to 1st condition.

A=2+B (B=x).

So A=2+x.

2nd condition B=2C so C=B/2 (B=x).

C=x/2.

Add A, B and C.

A+B+C=27.

(2+x) + (2 (x/2) ) + (x/2) =27.

Simplify the equation.

5x+4=50.

X=10 (option D ans).

B = x, A = x+2, C = 1/2x.

Right?

If b = x,
then,

a = 2 + x
c = 2 + 2 + x = 4 + x.

Then,
a + b + c = 27.
(2 + x) + x + (4 + x) = 27.
3x = 27 + 2 + 4.
x = 33/3.
x = 10.

A = 2 + B.

B = 2C -> Eq 1.

A + B + C = 27 -> Eq 2.

Put value of A and B in 2,

2 + 2C + 2C + C = 27,
2C + 2C + C = 27 - 2,
2C + 2C + C= 25,
5C = 25,
C = 5,

Put C in eq 1,

B = 2 * 5,
B = 10.

A = 2 + B,

B = 2C,

A + B + C = 27.

So, (2 + B) + B + B/2 = 27,

2B + B/2 = 25,

5B/2 = 25,

B = 10.
