In AB/A+B format 30 * 20/20 + 30 = 600/50 = 12.

1/20 + 1/30 = 2/50 so = 1/25.

Then how it is possible of 1/12.

LCM of 20 and 30 is 60.

Solve,
1/20+1/30.
= 3+2/60.
= 5/60.
= 1/12.

(1/20 + 1/30) = In order to add both of these fractions first make sure whether the denominator of those two fractions are same. Here the denominators are different.

Cross multiply the two fraction:

= (30+20)/(30*20) = 50/600 = 1/12.
