In such cases always assume some value for x and y.

Let x = 100 and y = 100. (Note-always assume value which is divisible by denominator).

Now A = x%y.

A = x/100*y, but we substitute the assumed value of x and y.

A = 100/100*100 (x = 100, y = 100 assumed value).

You will get:

A = 100.

Now move to next part.

B = y%x.

B = x/100*y, but we again substitute the assumed value of x and y.

B = 100/100*100 it will give you.

B = 100.

Now A = 100 and B = 100 therefore you can say that A = B.

@Abhi.

10% of 100 is 10 only not 90, if it is 10% lower by 100 then it is 90.

I agree with @Mala, Why C is not the correct answer? Even I got the answer A = B.
