Let the number of students be x. Then,

Number of students above 8 years of age = (100 - 20)% of x = 80% of x.

Hi, guys.

Let the total number of students be "x".

Condition 1 -> below 8 years of age = 20/100 of x = x/5 ---->1.
Condition 2 -> 8 year of age = 48 --->2.
Condition 3 -> above 8 years of age = 2/3(48) = 32 ---->3.

Then 1 + 2 + 3.
x/5 + 48 + 32 = x.
80 = x - x/5,
80 = 5x-x/5,
80 = 4x/5,
400 = 4x,
x= 400/4 =100.
