So divide 420 with 60 as,
420/60 * 100,
70 * 10 = 700.

Simply, the solution is;
100 - 40 % of x = 420,
60/100*X = 420.
X = 420 * 100/60 = 700.

It is very simple.
If 40% is sold out then 60% is remains.
Then,
(420/60) *100= 700.
If 40% is sold out then 60% is remains.
