None of these. Because using 2 & 3 as well as using 1, 2 & 3 we can reach the answer. So option E, not because of inadequate of data but of other options are not suitable.

Profit percentage also depends on the duration of investment which is not given. So we cannot calculate the required thing.

P joining after 4 months so in 12 months - 4 months he gets 8 months profit. Likewise, Q gets 12 months and R gets 9 months profit.

Consider a 1 year investment and you can easily find out x by the equation discussed above. So answer should be (A).

So we can calculate the value of x by using
12000*8/(12000*8+8000*12+9x) = 6000.
