Find total profit =5% (profit goes to charity) +95% (profit goes to A and B).
If we have 95% of profit so we can easily find 100% profit.
And A get 855 (A share form total).
Let total profit goes to A and B is X and A:B =3:2.
A share in X is=3/5*X. Which is given 855.
So, 3/5*X=855.
X=855*5/3=1425.
If we have 95% of profit so we can easily find 100% profit.
So 95% of profit is =1425.
100% of profit is = 1425*100/95=1500 (total profit).
If we have 95% of profit so we can easily find 100% profit.
And A get 855 (A share form total).
Let total profit goes to A and B is X and A:B =3:2.
A share in X is=3/5*X. Which is given 855.
So, 3/5*X=855.
X=855*5/3=1425.
If we have 95% of profit so we can easily find 100% profit.
So 95% of profit is =1425.
100% of profit is = 1425*100/95=1500 (total profit).

Here's the easy solution:
Let the total profit be x.
5% part of the total profit goes to charity.
So, the remaining profit is 95% i.e. (95/100)*x. (means 95/100 part of x is remaining).
Now, the investment of A and B is given in ratio i.e. A:B = 3:2.
So, the total profit will have 3+2 = 5 parts from which (3/5) parts will be of A and (2/5) parts will be of B.
So, the total profit of A from the remaining profit after charity will be:
(3/5)*((95/100)*x) i.e. 3/5 part of the remaining profit which is (95/100)*x.
Thus, (3/5)*((95/100)*x) = A.
Now, A's share is given to be Rs. 855.
So, (3/5)*((95/100)*x) = 855.
After calculating for x, we get,
x = 1500 Rs. i.e. Total profit is 1500 Rs.
After calculating for x, we get,
x = 1500 Rs. i.e. Total profit is 1500 Rs.

If total profit is 100%
The remaining profit is 95%(because the 5% profit goes to charity)
So, now the profit need distribute to A and B.
Bow we can calculate the A's profit.
A's Profit = (3/5)*95% = 57%.
As per problem A got Rs 855.
So, 57% = 855,
So, we need full profit = (855/57)*100 = 1500.

Total profit 1500.
Less 5% = 75.
A share 1425 * 3/5 = 855.
B share 1425 * 2/5 = 570.
Less 5% = 75.
A share 1425 * 3/5 = 855.
B share 1425 * 2/5 = 570.

95/100A = 855.
A=900,
3x=A.
=> x = 300.
B = 2x.
B = 600.
A + B = 1500.
A=900,
3x=A.
=> x = 300.
B = 2x.
B = 600.
A + B = 1500.

Solution:
A:B =3:2
Consider formula I*T =P.
855 = 3/5 * Total profit.
Then Total profit = (855*5)/3.
Total profit = 1425 it consists of only 95 percent.
And 5 percent is donated as a charity.
So 1425/95 = 15.
And we need 100 percentage.
Then 15 is only 1 percent.
We need 100 percent.
So, 100*15= 1500.
A:B =3:2
Consider formula I*T =P.
855 = 3/5 * Total profit.

As per the question here time period is same so ratio of investment is equal to ratio of profit.
So, A:B = 3:2.
Here after giving 5% from the total profit to the charity then A's profit is Rs. 855 as per the given information.
A = (5/ (5+2) ) *total profit.
855 = (5/7) * total profit.
Total profit = 855*7/5.
Total profit = Rs. 1425.
I got this answer this is also correct method but how do you get 1500 answer?

Let tota profit be x.
5 % of the total profit goes to charity=5/100 x=x/20.
Profit left =x-x/20=19/x.
This profit is divided between a and b in ratio 3:2.
A's share is 855.
855=3/5 multiply 19x/20,
x=855x20x5/19x3=1500,
Thus the total profit is 1500.
