2.
A, B and C jointly thought of engaging themselves in a business venture. It was agreed that A would invest Rs. 6500 for 6 months, B, Rs. 8400 for 5 months and C, Rs. 10,000 for 3 months. A wants to be the working member for which, he was to receive 5% of the profits. The profit earned was Rs. 7400. Calculate the share of B in the profit.
Answer: Option
Explanation:
For managing, A received = 5% of Rs. 7400 = Rs. 370.
Balance = Rs. (7400 - 370) = Rs. 7030.
Ratio of their investments = (6500 x 6) : (8400 x 5) : (10000 x 3)
= 39000 : 42000 : 30000
= 13 : 14 : 10

Here, it is specifically given that "A" will receive only 5% of the profit. So, you distributed/allocated more money for "A" again.
It should be like.
Ratio of the investments of B & C= (8400 x 5) : (10000 x 3).
= 42000 : 30000.
= 7:5.
So, Share of B = Rs. (7030 X 7/12) = 2929.
Does the question says that 'A' will receive extra 5%?

Does the question says that 'A' will receive extra 5%?

Bommidala Karimulla Reddy is wrong because the investment for different months but rate is remain constant it is simple formula of simple interest
Profit (simple interest)= principle*rate*time /100
Profit (simple interest)= principle*rate*time /100

@Vidhyarthi,b@Prasant.
Yes we already subtract the 5%.
Profit is 7400.
Profit-5%of a profit=7030 .
We divided this 7030 into 3 parts based on their time.

Hi guys,
A invest money =6500 ofter 6 months=>6500*6=>39000
B invest money =8400 ofter 5 months=>8400*5=>42000
C invest money =10000 ofter 3 months+>10000*3=>30000
A,B,C ratio of the money => A:B:C
step1: 39000:42000:30000
step2: 39:42:30
step3: divided by 3 => 13:14:10
step4: add the 3 ratios
13+14+10 = > 37.
