1.Add remainder and divisor
39+357= 396=number
2. divide number by second divisor
396/17 =(391+5)/17
Ans. 5 is the remainder

It's simple, just take the first given remainder and divide it by the second denominator.
i.e, 39/17=5 is the answer.
47/18 =11 gives you the answer.

First find the number?
Number = 357 + 39 = 396 (dividend=divisor*quotient+remainder).

= 396/17.
