On dividing a number by 56, we get 29 as remainder. On dividing the same number by 8, what will be the remainder ?
4
5
6
7
Answer: Option
Explanation:

Formula: (Divisor*Quotient) + Remainder = Dividend.

Soln:

(56*Q)+29 = D -------(1)

D%8 = R -------------(2)

From equation(2),

((56*Q)+29)%8 = R.

=> Assume Q = 1.

=> (56+29)%8 = R.

=> 85%8 = R

=> 5 = R.

As 56 is divisible by 8
So we have remainder 29 when divisible by 56
So 29/8=5

N=56*K+29.

By divide 8.

8*7*k+8*3+5.

8(7k+8)+5.

Remainder = 5 dividing 8.

x = 56p+29 => (8*7p+8*3)+5.

=> 8(7p+3)+5.

So remainder is 5.

Number = x.

x = 56 + 29 = 85.

So,
= 85/8 = 10.5.

Remainder is 5.

Assume that the num is 56+29=85.
Now divide, 85/8.
Remainder is 5.
