27.
On dividing a number by 56, we get 29 as remainder. On dividing the same number by 8, what will be the remainder ?
4
5
6
7
Answer: Option
Explanation:

Formula: (Divisor*Quotient) + Remainder = Dividend.

Soln:

(56*Q)+29 = D -------(1)

D%8 = R -------------(2)

From equation(2),

((56*Q)+29)%8 = R.

=> Assume Q = 1.

=> (56+29)%8 = R.

=> 85%8 = R

=> 5 = R.

Add 29 to 56 then it becoms 85. Then divide it with 8.

We will get the remainder as 5.

Since 56 is divisible by 8, we only need to find the remainder when 29 is divided by 8.

Take quotient as 2 then.

56*2+29=141 then divided by 8.

141/8=====>remainder is 5.

56y+29=x
similarly 8y+k=x
so, 56y+29=8y+k
48y+29=k
8(6y+3)+5=k
Hence remainder is 5.

x = 56k+29 then x = 8k+?
By solving.. k = (x-29)/56.

Then x = 24+5.
Remainder is 5.

Consider the quotient as 1. And solve 56*1+29=85. Now divide 85 by 8 remainder is 5.

If the remainder is again divided by 8 the remainder is 5.

29 / 8 = 3 remainder 5

Since 56 is divisible by 8 so reminder is 29.

So divide 29 by 8 so reminder is 5.

N = 56K+29.
Put K = 1.
Then N = 85.

85 is divided by 8 we got 5.
So answer is 5.

Take 56 + 29 = 85 as the number.

Now divide 85 by 8, then you get 5 as answer.
