Odd + odd = even.
Odd - odd = even.

Even + even = even.
Even - even = even.

Odd * odd = odd.
Even * even = even.
Even * odd = even.

Do by variable approach.

Take a = 1, b = 3.

A) a+b = 4.
B) a+b+1 = 5.
C) ab = 3.
D) ab+2 = 5.

Therefore, answer is even in case of option (A).
