log10 80 | = log10 (8 x 10) |
= log10 8 + log10 10 | |
= log10 (23 ) + 1 | |

Why can't i write it as; log(2*2*2*10)?
= log(2)+log(2)+log(2)+log10 = 0.9030+1=1.9030?
= log(2)+log(2)+log(2)+log10 = 0.9030+1=1.9030?

@Mahesh.
Just because 10*8=80 so we are splitting.
Just because 10*8=80 so we are splitting.

Log10^80=80log10.
Now log10^2=2log10=0.3010.
Log10=0.1505.
Put the value,
80*0.1505=12.040.
Now log10^2=2log10=0.3010.
Log10=0.1505.
Put the value,
80*0.1505=12.040.

log10 80 = log10 (8*10)
Because in question they are give log10 2 value for that we split this 80 and we can able to write 8 in terms of power 2 that's why it is split.
