The angle between the minute hand and the hour hand of a clock when the time is 8.30, is:
80°
75°
60°
105°
Explanation:

 Angle traced by hour hand in 17 hrs = 360 x 17 ° = 255°. 2 12 2

 Angle traced by min. hand in 30 min. = 360 x 30 ° = 180°. 60 Required angle = (255 - 180)° = 75°.

8:30.
By formula:
Hr-8, min -30.

angle-(11/2) * min-30*hr.
Angle=(11/2) * 30-30*8=165-240=-75.

We can use this formula for this type of questions.

Angle= 30H - (11/2)*M.
Where H is hour and M is minute.
So, 30*8- (11/2)*30 = 75 ans.

Note: If the answer is minus then ignore minus or reverse this formula.

No formula required, just 9 o clock is 45 degree, center of 9 and 7 is 8 simple 75 degree.

How is it possible as 1min = 6 degree?
=> 10 mins= 60 degree.

So, solution is wrong.

Simple way to find out the degrees is 8:30

Step1: Multiply hour and min= 8 * 30 = 240.
Step:2: Now multiply 30*11/2 = 165.
Step3: Subtract 240 -165= 75° ->answer.

To find the angle between the times 1.05,2.10,3.15,4.20,5.25, 6.30,7.35,8.40,9.45,10.50,11.55 and 12.60 only takes the half of the minutes.

For 1.05=2.50, 2.10=5 and so on.
