Explanation:
After 10 days : 150 men had food for 35 days.
Suppose 125 men had food for x days.
Now, Less men, More days (Indirect Proportion)
125 : 150 :: 35 : x 
125 x x = 150 x 35
 x = |

Food quantity=150*45=6750 units.
After 10days Food quantity was reduced,
=> 150*10 = 1500 unit.
Balance quantity,
6750-1500=5150 Unit.
Case second:
125 men, assume - z days, Balance quantity-
5150 Unit.
Days-Z=5150/125=42.

Food quantity=150*45=6750 units.

Lets assume 1 kg of food is eaten by each person.
Total quantity of food =150 x 45
= 6750kg.
Quantity of food finished in ten days by 150 men = 150 x 10
= 1500kg.
Amount of food remained = 6750 - 1500.
= 5250kg.
Therefore, number of days the remaining food can be eaten by 125 people
= 5250/125 = 42 days.

Food for 25 men for 35 would be left which could be consumed by other 125 (this would be devided or distributed in these people) so the equation becomes,
=> 25*35/125.
=7.
So total day the food lasts long =35+7=42.
=> 25*35/125.
=7.
So total day the food lasts long =35+7=42.
