If the cost of x meters is d. then cost of one meter will be d/x. then if we have to find the cost of y meters we have to multiply the y with cost for one meter. thus it is y*d/x.

for x metres the cost is drupees den
x------>d
y------>?
den y*d/x=ans(cross multiply)
x------>d
y------>?
den y*d/x=ans(cross multiply)

X/d = y/?
suppose ? = p, then cross multiplication.
You will get ans: x*p = yd.
P = (yd/x).
suppose ? = p, then cross multiplication.
You will get ans: x*p = yd.
P = (yd/x).

x = 5 meters d = 10rupees
y = 7 then d = ?
10/5 = 2; 2 * 7 = 14.
How to get this mean d/x *y?
y = 7 then d = ?
10/5 = 2; 2 * 7 = 14.
How to get this mean d/x *y?

x meters--->d rupees.
For 1 meter, we get d/x.
For y meters simply multiply d/x with y.
For 1 meter, we get d/x.
For y meters simply multiply d/x with y.

We known X and D,
Then we need Y meters of wire.
Let as,
WE GET ANSWER =(D/X)* Y.
Then we need Y meters of wire.
Let as,
WE GET ANSWER =(D/X)* Y.
