100 years has 5 odd days. so the 101st year must only start with Friday, right? for example if a non leap year has 1 odd day, then it starts with the next day when you are comparing with the previous year. so I think the last day of the first Century must be 'Thursday' and second century is 'Tuesday' and so on.

100 years = 76 ordinary years + 24 leap years.
= 76 multiply with its odd day i.e 1 + 24 multiply with its odd days i.e 2.
= 76 + 48.
= 124 odd days.
This means that every 100 years contain 124 odd days. But explanation has contained that there are 5 odd days.
can you explain is it OK?

100 years = 24 leap years + 76 ordinary years.
= (24*2) +(76*1).
= 124 odd days.
= 124÷7.
=(17 weeks) +5odd days
= 5(Friday).
200 years =5*2=10
=1 week + 3odd days
=3(Wednesday).
300 years=5*3=15.
=2 weeks + 1 odd day.
=1 (Monday).
= (24*2) +(76*1).
= 124 odd days.
= 124÷7.
=(17 weeks) +5odd days
= 5(Friday).
200 years =5*2=10
=1 week + 3odd days
=3(Wednesday).
300 years=5*3=15.
=2 weeks + 1 odd day.
=1 (Monday).

we check leap year with divisible by 4.. if it satisfies then we'll say it is leap year..
1996/4= remainder is 0 . there fore 1994 is a leap year.
but this concept doesnt use for centuries.. eg:1200,1600,2000 etc
centuries shuld divisible by 400 but not 4.

Not every year which is divisible by 4 is a leap year.
An end of a century i.e..100,200,300,400,1100,1200. Has to be divisible by 400 to be a leap year.
So, from the above, Only 400, 1200 are leap years.

Because 100 is not divisible by 400. If Every century year is divisible by 400 it means it is not leap year if it can't divisible by 400 it is a leap year.
