Every day is repeating after 7 days, so if today is Monday 8th day will be Monday. The consecutive Mondays will be multiple of 8.
Eg:8,16,24 etc.
So, 61 not multiple of 8 but 64 so 64 day is Monday then 61 day is -3 so the day is Thursday.

61÷7,remainder = 5.
5 odd days so, Monday + 5 = Saturday.

If week start with Monday, so it ends with Sunday, not Sunday, hence at 63rd day it will be Sunday. So at 61st it will be Friday.

That seems confusing. After 61 days implies 61/7 = 8 weeks remainder 5 days.
Since this week has its first day on Monday it means its last day is Sunday.
Thus day 56 is Sunday, adding the five remaining days gives us Friday.
