Number of odd days in 97 years ( 24 x 2 + 73) = 121 = 2 odd days.
Jan. Feb. March April May June (31 + 28 + 31 + 30 + 31 + 17) = 168 days
168 days = 24 weeks = 0 odd day.
Total number of odd days = (0 + 1 + 2 + 0) = 3.
Given day is Wednesday.

The answer should be Thursday not Wednesday because there are 3 odd days.
If there had been 2 odd days then answer would have been Wednesday.
Monday + 3 odd days = Thursday.

How can we calculate in a 100 years there are 76 ordinary years and 24 leap years?

Yeah. The answer should be Tuesday. Because in 100 years there are 24 leap years. But in 97 years there are 23 leap years. I think so. Where I m wrong tell me, please.

If 5 odd days for 100 years, then for 400 years it will be 5x4=20 means 20%7 = 6 odd days no...? bit confused about this calculation....anybody help me please..

Formula = date+ year+quaten+monthy code+year code/7.
= 17 + 98 + 24 + 4 + 0/7,
= 143/7.
= reminder is 3 then date code is 3 = Wednesday.
Then 98/4= 24.5.
= 17 + 98 + 24 + 4 + 0/7,
= 143/7.

(17+98+24+4+0)/7 = 143/7.

Instead of going straight forward from 1600 then 1900 then to 1997 can we come reverse from 2000 to 1998?

In 100 years isn't this correct:
25 leap years + 75 ordinary years?
4*1=4 .. 4*2=8.. 4*3=12.. ......... 4*25=100 and so 25 leap years.
