The area of playground is 1600 m2. What is the perimeter? | |
I. | It is a perfect square playground. |
II. | It costs Rs. 3200 to put a fence around the playground at the rate of Rs. 20 per metre. |
Answer: Option
Explanation:
Area = 1600 m2.
I. Side = 1600 m = 40 m. So, perimeter = (40 x 4) m = 160 m.
I alone gives the answer.
II. Perimeter = | Total cost | = | 3200 | m | = 160 m. |
Cost per metre | 20 |
II alone gives the answer.
Correct answer is (C).

Correct answer is option A.
Because in second statement the shape of ground is not mentioned. Then how is it possible to find its perimeter?

In case of the perimeter, the shape of the ground is not important. Because the perimeter is just a length. We can find the perimeter just by dividing the total cost by the cost per meter.
